Keep People Engaged

In a recent TIME Magazine article on attention span, Adam Brown, Co-Director for the Center for Attention, Learning and Memory said, “Inattention has reached epidemic levels. The more you engage in task switching, the more your brain wants to wander and look for that new thing.”

Everyone is involved in everyone else’s turn

The secret to engagement is keeping all players engaged in everyone’s turn. Think about it. What’s worse than sitting and waiting your turn? That doesn’t happen in a Guyer game!

Keep the games short and sweet!

Reyn remembers watching a mother with her kids at a restaurant pull out a game that they all played while waiting for their food. Curious, Reyn asked about this. The mother explained the game was her tactic to keep her kids engaged in conversation instead of burying their faces in their phones.
